Daily Beer, Korea’s leading craft beer platform and operator of the brand Daily Beer, announced that it has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Cambodia’s HSC Group to accelerate its expansion across the Southeast Asian market.
The agreement was signed at Daily Beer’s headquarters in Seoul and marks a major milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. Through the partnership, Daily Beer and HSC Group aim to establish a long-term business platform that extends beyond a traditional franchise agreement, creating a strategic hub for the beer and food service industries throughout Southeast Asia.
The newly established joint venture will initially oversee Daily Beer’s master franchise business in Cambodia and focus on expanding the brand’s local store network. Looking ahead, the two companies also plan to jointly develop a large-scale craft beer brewery in Cambodia, positioning the country as a production and distribution hub for the broader Southeast Asian market. This localized production strategy is expected to improve price competitiveness while maintaining the freshness and quality of Daily Beer’s craft beers.
HSC Group, Daily Beer’s local partner, is one of Cambodia’s leading retail and food service companies. The company operates internationally recognized brands including Burger King, Crystal Jade, and Paris Baguette in Cambodia. More recently, HSC Group formed a joint venture with Lagardère Travel Retail and was selected as the duty-free operator for Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh, further strengthening its position as a key player in Cambodia’s retail and travel industry.
Jamie Sok, Managing Director of HSC Group, said, “Following the successful launch of Paris Baguette in Cambodia, we are delighted to introduce Daily Beer, Korea’s leading beer brand, to Cambodian consumers. We are confident that the unique Korean dining culture of pairing fried chicken with craft beer will become highly popular among local Millennials and Generation Z.”
Lim Sang-jin, CEO of Daily Beer, commented, “This joint venture represents more than overseas expansion—it is an important turning point in extending Daily Beer’s business model throughout Southeast Asia. By establishing local production and distribution capabilities in Cambodia, we will accelerate our growth as a global food and beverage brand while introducing Korean craft beer and K-chimaek culture to new markets.”
Daily Beer, the first beer franchise in Korea to receive the Presidential Commendation for its contribution to the country’s beer industry in 2025, plans to use this joint venture as a foundation for strengthening its position as a leading K-beer and restaurant brand across Southeast Asia while laying the groundwork for long-term global franchise growth.
