Daily Beer Co., Ltd., the operator of the craft beer franchise Daily Beer, received the Presidential Commendation at the 2025 Korea Franchise Industry Development Awards, held on December 5 at the Grand Ballroom of COEX in Seoul.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Franchise Association, the awards recognize companies that have made significant contributions to the development and competitiveness of Korea's franchise industry.
Daily Beer became the first alcoholic beverage franchise brand in Korea to receive the Presidential Commendation, earning national recognition for its contributions to the growth of the country's beverage industry and for its innovative franchise business model.
Since opening its first location in Yeouido in 2014, the company has pioneered the introduction of craft beer into Korea's franchise market, creating new business opportunities for entrepreneurs. Today, Daily Beer operates approximately 250 locations nationwide, including 49 company-owned stores that serve as the foundation of its stable operating system.
The company has maintained a franchise-friendly business model by charging no franchise royalties while fully covering major advertising and promotional expenses. This approach has significantly reduced the financial burden on franchise owners and has been recognized as one of the key drivers behind the brand's sustainable growth alongside its franchise partners.
In addition, Daily Beer has built a unique "beer platform" business model by collaborating with independent regional breweries across Korea throughout every stage of beer development, production, distribution, and sales. By introducing locally brewed craft beers to customers nationwide, the company has helped expand Korea's craft beer ecosystem while promoting the broader appreciation of craft beer culture.
The company's collaborative platform has also contributed to the popularization of craft beer and the diversification of Korea's dining culture.
Beyond Korea, Daily Beer has continued its successful international expansion across Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. Following the successful establishment of three stores in Singapore, the company expanded further this year with a fourth Singapore location while entering the Thai and Philippine markets.
By exporting craft beer brewed in Korea to its overseas locations, Daily Beer has played an important role in expanding exports of Korean craft beer and introducing K-Beer to international consumers. The company continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading global ambassadors for Korean craft beer.
A representative from Daily Beer said, "Receiving this Presidential Commendation is especially meaningful because it recognizes the management philosophy and collaborative business model we have built over the past 12 years. We will continue strengthening partnerships with our franchise owners, expanding cooperation with local breweries, and accelerating our global growth to enhance the competitiveness of Korea's franchise industry."
This year, Daily Beer opened new locations in Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines and is preparing additional openings in the United States and Hong Kong. The company recently signed a lead underwriting agreement with Shinhan Securities as part of its planned KOSDAQ listing.
