KCBC (Korea Craft Brewers Club), the regional brewery collaboration initiative operated by Daily Beer, has selected Gimpo-based brewery Social Drinkers as its August partner and introduced its authentic German-style wheat beer, Let’s Dance.
KCBC collaborates with a different regional brewery each month, showcasing one of the brewery’s signature beers through limited-time online and offline releases. Consumers can first reserve the beer in canned format via the Pocket CU app’s Fresh Pickup service, followed by a draft beer release at Daily Beer locations, creating more opportunities for regional breweries to connect with customers.
Social Drinkers, the featured brewery for August, operates under a unique "gypsy brewery" model. Rather than maintaining its own permanent brewing facility, the brewery develops and produces its beers in partnership with various breweries while being based in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province. Guided by the philosophy, “Great beer creates great relationships,” Social Drinkers aims to elevate everyday drinking occasions with thoughtfully crafted, high-quality beers.
The collaborative release, Let’s Dance, is a reinterpretation of the classic German-style Weizen—the first beer style that inspired the brewery’s head brewer to pursue craft brewing. According to the brewery, the beer was developed in response to the belief that many imported wheat beers lose freshness during distribution before reaching consumers.
Following its release, Let’s Dance received positive market recognition and also became the first commercial beer to utilize Biocraft’s proprietary BC31 yeast strain in commercial brewing.
The beer features an alcohol content (ABV) of 5.0% and an International Bitterness Unit (IBU) rating of 13. It pours a bright golden-yellow color with distinctive banana-like fruity aromas, a smooth grain character, and a refreshing mouthfeel. The brewery describes the drinking experience as “a beer that feels like it’s dancing on your palate.”
Pre-orders are available through the Pocket CU app from August 3 to August 23. Brewing will be completed on August 27, and customers will be able to collect their reserved beers beginning September 2 at their selected CU convenience store nationwide.
A Daily Beer representative described KCBC as “a collaborative project designed to improve consumer access to craft beer while supporting the sustainable growth of Korea’s craft beer industry.” The representative added, “Just as the brewery describes Let’s Dance as a beer that makes your shoulders move with every sip, we hope it brings a refreshing and enjoyable experience throughout the summer.”
Meanwhile, Daily Beer continues to receive international recognition, recently winning three awards at the 2026 Korea Liquor Awards and another three awards at Australia's Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA), one of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions. The company continues to strengthen its position as a fully integrated beer brand overseeing every stage of the process, from product planning and brewing to distribution and exports.
